Volunteer Centers are community-based organization that mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems. Volunteer Centers may provide volunteer opportunities, community resources, trainings, technical assistance and recognition programs for the communities in which they serve. In all, Volunteer Centers support these guiding principles:

  • Promote volunteerism
  • Build the capacity of organizations to utilize volunteers
  • Bring volunteers together around community issues
  • Connect volunteers with volunteer opportunities
