The Kansas Volunteer Commission and Washburn University are excited to announce the 2025 Civic Engagement ConferenceThe conference will be held on November 4th and 5th at Washburn University in the Memorial Union. The theme of the conference is “Empowering Kansans through Civic Engagement”.

The registration fee is $25/day for students and AmeriCorps members and $50/day for adults. This fee includes a light breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, networking opportunities, and a service project.

    • Mentoring, nonprofit, and volunteer management professionals
    • National service members and staff (including AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors)

    Cancellation Policy: All requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing and emailed to volunteer@ksde.gov with "Cancellation Request" or "Refund Request" in the subject line. The date of the cancellation will be the date the email is sent. It is the responsibility of the registrant to confirm receipt of cancellation. No refunds will be issued for registrations canceled or created after 5 pm on October 24, 2025. Refunds will be issued via check within 60 days of the cancellation request.
